Digital licensing

In November 2020 ITR Bulgaria started offering digital licenses for Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro to its customers and partners. Then in August 2021 Windows 10 COA stickers were discontinued. ITR Bulgaria has a significant experience in digital licensing, since we were one of the few MAR companies chosen by Microsoft for tests of the procedure before its official start for refurbished equipment.

Digital license provides a way for activation, which does not require manual entering of the key by the end user. The process is fully automated for better user experience. Digital licensing also does not require a COA sticker with an activation key. Instead, there is a Digital Product Key (DPK), which is associated with the hardware identificatory of the system prepared for installation and is integrated in it. For this is used the OEM Activation 3.0 methodology, which has clearly defined processes of production. For authentication and proof that the license is gained from a MAR company, there is a Genuine Microsoft Refurbisher Label (GMRL), which is put on the outside of the unit. This is a hologram sticker with the latest anti-counterfeiting measures. You can find more information about the GMRL here.

With digital licensing Windows is activated automatically via Internet as soon as the installation process is over. This saves time and the activation process is easier for you and your clients.

All of these make digital licensing a preferred method of activation of the Windows operating system.
